1 and 2. Reading workshop for spelling. The students are directed to fold their paper to create eight squares. Then they write their spelling words and draw pictures. 3. This image depicts a 'six pack', a study material that is completed as a whole class each week. We read Journeys weekly text and fill out our six pack together. I project with the document camera. The students had difficulty seeing the writing with the black pen so I switched to a brighter color. 4. I created several math word problems. This whole group lesson was to review the many strategies we can use in solving math problems as well as to give more experience with word problems. With the word problems I indicated to myself what strategy we would use to solve these problems. 5 and 6. Christmas themed word problems I created to engage students with the math review as well as give further experience with word problems. 7. A chart that organizes the difference between proper and common nouns. A short opening activity used as a review. 8. Demonstration of 'jumps' that can be used when using a number line to solve mathematical equations.
